I just recently took a poll and asked a few people (242 to be exact), if they thought it were appropriate for women to carry condoms. Many thought it showed promiscuity, some thought it was sexy/attractive, the doctors of the group felt that it showed responsibility.
Maybe the reason for women not carrying condoms is because "we" would like to be a little more descreet.
